Northlink Ferries - lights left on in daylight
This is a picture taken at the seaward side of the Northlink Ferry Terminal in Strtomness, Orkney. These appear to be Thorn Piazza perimeter lights, and probably do a good job at night considering that safety on the nearby quay is the paramount need. Unfortunatley, these ones are left on 24 hours a day. A thoughtless waste of energy and money. If global warming really is affected by our generation and waste of energy, then the streets of Stromness are in the frontline of rising sea levels, and this sort of thing doesn't help.
