Globe lighting - Morrisons Supermarket

Unshielded decorative globe lighting is highly inefficient by design. Half of the energy used is pointlessly wasted on illuminating the night sky where it can serve no useful purpose.

So much for Morrison's web site statements about caring for the environment! In round figures, electricity to produce 250W of wasted light annually requires 375Kg of coal to be burnt, producing over 800Kg of CO2. How many KW are they wasting on this site alone? I note their web site does have a facility to contact them by email to show them this picture. Still. I'm sure they will find out soon enough from other sources.
