Searchlight Light Pollution, Swinton, Sheffield

Searchlight linked to a travelling fair sited next to Meadowhall shopping centre.
The light from these devices indiscriminately and unnecessarily pollute the night sky, they are visually intrusive and cause a distraction which is never a good thing-particularly alongside the M1 motorway.

The light from this one was seen from my home town of Swinton which is a distance of approximately seven miles. Sheffield City Council, take heed.

Even ignoring the pointless stupidity of the searchlight, the other badly directed lights around it are really bad. They are clearly wasting most of their light into the sky, and there is no good argument for this, even for a funfair. Stupid lighting, and foolish waste of energy and money.
